Welcome

“Upstairs at Eric’s” features the work of Eric McGougan and Emma Skeldon and celebrates their love of the Scottish landscape and the ever changing twists of light that the Scottish weather offers in abundance through four seasons in one day.

Eric and Emma are photographers who live and work by Loch Lomond in Scotland. Emma making Scotland her home after many years in Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand and Camberwell College of Arts, London where she gained a BA Hons Art Degree. Eric is a self-taught photographer who has walked or ran the Scottish hills extensively.

Inspired by the varied coastline and mountains of Scotland we endeavour to capture the unique and surreal.

We also draw inspiration from the proud industrial heritage of Glasgow and Newcastle and rejoice in their testimonials to an esteemed past.

“It's only when we truly know and understand that we have a limited time on earth -- and that we have no way of knowing when our time is up -- that we will begin to live each day to the fullest, as if it was the only one we had.”
- Elisabeth Kubler-Ross
